Die Shooting
Pay back the mob. Spin the gun. Try not to shoot yourself.
You owe money to the wrong people. The collector has you in a back room with a pistol on a plate and a ring of targets around it, and you are not leaving that room until every penny is paid back.
Click the gun and it spins. When it stops, it fires at whatever it's pointing at: money, shields, ammo... or Death. Break nodes to earn cash, spend it on upgrades and new nodes, and have the money ready when the boss comes to collect. Every debt is more than three times the last. Ten of them. £1,000,000 in all.
A short point-and-click incremental game. A full game takes about 20 minutes, in your browser, on a computer or on your phone, held either way up.
How to play
- You start with a Pistol. Win the Shotgun, Revolver, SMG and Sniper along the way, each with a trick of its own, and pick one before every game.
- Click the gun (or tap it) to spin it. It fires when it stops. Later, Burst Fire lets off several shots per spin.
- Money nodes pay cash. Ammo nodes add bullets to next round. Shield nodes keep you alive.
- Death kills you if you hit it with no shields. With shields up, it takes half of them instead.
- Out of bullets? Press Next round. Press End round early at any time to sell your spare bullets.
- Every few rounds a debt is due, and the collector turns up to wait for it. Have the money, or that's the end.
- Pay a debt and you pick a special node to add to your ring: detonators, jackpots, regenerators and more. Now and then, a new gun instead.
- Die, and your upgrades go in the ground with you. But every bullet you fired comes back as a golden bullet, and every golden bullet makes Money nodes pay more, for good.
- Pay the last debt and choose: walk out with a treasure chest, or keep working for the mob, a treasure chest for every debt, until one is too big to pay.
- Spend your cash in the Upgrades tree, or gamble it on Buy random node.
Features
- One click to play, plenty to plan: where the gun lands is luck, but everything around it is up to you.
- 15 upgrades across Income, Firepower, Survival and the Node Pool.
- Special nodes that change the board: Detonators that blow up their neighbours, a Jackpot that turns most of your ring into money for one shot, Regenerators that rebuild broken nodes (one for every ring, one for just its own), a Rewind that gives you your last shot back, and a Ricochet that bounces your bullet back across the ring to pay double.
- Four guns to win on top of your Pistol: a Shotgun that fires blasts of three pellets, a Revolver whose sixth bullet comes out bigger, an SMG with more of everything, and a Sniper that hits twice as hard.
- 40 gun skins to collect from treasure chests, and a Collection to choose which one each gun wears.
- Golden bullets: every run makes the next one richer, and your progress is saved in the browser between visits.
- No end to it if you want one: keep working for the mob after the last debt and see how far the debts can grow.
- Tough nodes that take more than one hit, and heavier bullets that punch straight through them, or land between two nodes and take both. Past 32 bullets, your ammo merges into medium, heavy and extreme rounds.
- Up to three rings of nodes as your board grows.
- Plays on phones and tablets, upright or on its side: every screen rearranges itself for a tall screen, and every click is a tap.
- A mob boss with something to say, and three jazz tracks to play him out with: a noir ballad, an up-tempo swing blues and a bossa nova. Pick one under Settings on the title screen (or Audio in the pause menu), along with the master, music and sound-effect volumes.
Controls
- Mouse or touch: everything
- Esc: pause (or close the upgrade tree)
- M: music on/off
